Product Overview
Ceteareth-20 (CAS No. 68439-49-6) is a highly effective oil-in-water emulsifier with the following properties:
Core Functions
Emulsifying Performance: It forms a stable oil-in-water emulsion at low concentrations, offering excellent compatibility and is suitable for use in products such as serums and sunscreens.
Solubilizing Effect: It significantly solubilizes active ingredients such as essential oils and oil-soluble antioxidants. A 1.5% addition can stabilize a 5% plant essential oil system.
Combination Synergy: When combined with glyceryl stearate (HLB ≈ 3.8) in a 2:1 ratio, it achieves a shea butter loading of 28% and remains stable even at 50°C.
PPG-4-cetyl alcohol polyether-20 can form a protective film on the skin, allowing the skin to enjoy the benefits similar to its own sebum, preventing the skin from losing moisture and making it moist and delicate. At the same time, it is a hydrophilic emulsifier that can form an emulsion with good heat resistance.

Applications: Skin care creams and lotions, hair care products
1. An oil-in-water emulsifier, can be used alone or as a co-emulsifier to produce highly stable emulsions with excellent appearance and feel.
2. Compatible with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients, it is ideal for formulations containing high concentrations of electrolytes, such as antiperspirant salts, NMF actives, AHAs, and hyaluronic acid.
3. It can be used to formulate emulsified systems with high or low internal phase (oil phase) concentrations. The resulting emulsified pastes have a glossy appearance, excellent cold and hot stability, and viscosity stability, with pH values ranging from as low as 3 to as high as 14.
4. It can improve the spreadability of hair care products and enhance the colorability of hair dyes. Suggested dosage: 2-10%
