    Glycolic Acid (CAS 79-14-1), also known as Hydroxyacetic Acid or Ethanol Acid, is a high-purity alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from natural sources like sugarcane. With the smallest molecular weight (76.05 g/mol) among AHAs, it offers superior skin penetration and reactivity. Available in pharmaceutical (≥99.5%), cosmetic (≥98%), and industrial grades (70% solution), this versatile compound delivers unmatched efficacy in skincare, organic synthesis, and functional additives


    Glycolic acid, extracted from sugarcane, has a molecular weight of 76, making it the smallest of the alpha-hydroxy acids. It has excellent skin affinity and is easily absorbed into the skin, achieving significant skincare benefits.


    Glycolic acid, also known as glycolic acid, improves the appearance of aging skin by stimulating the production and rearrangement of hyaluronic acid, acidic mucopolysaccharides, collagen, and elastin fibers. This results in firmer and more elastic skin, while also reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, the increased presence of hyaluronic acid improves the skin's ability to retain moisture, addressing dry skin concerns.

    Product Benefits:

    One of glycolic acid's primary functions is to accelerate the shedding of dead skin cells, increasing epithelial cell turnover and promoting skin renewal. This can improve hyperkeratinization, roughness, dark spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or abnormalities, resulting in smoother, brighter skin. Glycolic acid also facilitates the shedding of keratinized plugs around pores and unclogs hair follicles, effectively preventing skin problems such as clogged pores, oily skin, acne, blackheads, and enlarged pores.


    Applications: Whitening agent. Suitable for use in whitening, freckle removal, and blackhead removal products, including night creams, moisturizing day creams, hand and body lotions, blackhead removal solutions, shampoos and toners, eye creams, skincare gels, and whitening products.


    Recommended Dosage: Generally 1.0-5.0%

    US FDA regulations stipulate that the pH of glycolic acid products should be above 3.5 and the concentration should be below 10%. The concentration of glycolic acid products used by professional beauticians should be below 30%. A concentration above 30% is for physicians only.


    Instructions: Add to deionized water and stir to dissolve evenly. Add at a low temperature of approximately 50°C.
