What is "skin microecology"?
The so-called "skin microecology" refers to an ecosystem composed of various microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, mites and arthropods, as well as tissues, cells, various secretions, and microenvironments on the surface of the skin.
This ecosystem is composed of about 100 billion microorganisms. In this complex microecology, there are several species of bacteria with different personalities:
Beneficial bacteria: skin safety guards
Opportunistic bacteria: fence-sitters
Harmful bacteria: skin destroyers
Beneficial bacteria, as the permanent population on the skin, maintain the normal operation of the skin, including cleaning the garbage on the surface of the skin, decomposing excess lipids, and jointly building a layer of skin barrier, so that those external pathogens cannot damage the skin. It can be seen that beneficial bacteria are very important!
As a micro-ecological system, the surface of human skin plays a key role in the protection and conditioning of the skin. The health of various microbial groups on the skin means that the skin is in a healthy state as a whole.
Therefore, if you want to have good skin condition, you must ensure the balance of the skin microecology; in simple terms, the microbial groups on our face must restrain each other and coexist harmoniously to achieve a state of balance.
The concept of ecology was first proposed by German scholar Haeckel in 1866.
Skin microorganisms are important members of the skin microecological system;
The research and application of skin microecological balance provides new concepts and directions for the field of damaged skin repair.
