NanoLiposomal Repair, a novel nanoliposome formulation of ceramides, is a novel ceramide nanoliposome preparation. Ceramide 3 is an important component of skin lipids. Description: Skin research results show that ceramides are a major component of the stratum corneum lipids, accounting for approximately 50% of the epidermal stratum corneum lipid content. They play a crucial role in the physiological function of the stratum corneum, undertaking the functions of skin protection, moisturizing, and hydration. Using ceramide-3, which has a structure consistent with natural ceramides, as a raw material, a nano-ceramide with a particle size of less than 30nm was developed using a nano-delivery system (NDS). This effectively solved the problems of solubility and applicability, allowing it to be stably encapsulated in a nanocarrier, working synergistically with natural stratum corneum components such as phospholipids, cholesterol, and stearic acid to repair the skin barrier.
The main functions of ceramides in the stratum corneum of the epidermis:
- Barrier function: The skin's barrier function disappears as soon as ceramides are removed from the epidermis.
