This recombinant human collagen type I (COL1A1)/ COL1 is available as full-chain or single chain molecules. Its synthesis and assembly require a multitude of genes and post-translational modifications which gives a more native human structure. The triple-helical collagens made by recombinant technology have the same amino acid sequence as human tissue-derived collagen. Furthermore, by achieving the equivalent extent of proline hydroxylation via co-expression of genes encoding prolyl hydroxylase with the collagen genes, one can produce collagens with a similar degree of stability as naturally occurring material.
Human Recombinant Collagen Type I is a bioengineered fibrillar collagen produced through microbial expression systems (e.g., E. coli). As the most abundant collagen in human skin and bones, it provides structural support and tensile strength. Ideal for anti-aging skincare and bone tissue engineering.
