Fibroblasts are weakly alkaline, with obvious protein synthesis and secretion activities, and are capable of synthesizing and secretion of elastic fibers, collagen fibers, matrix macromolecules and certain growth factors. Studies have shown that dryness, roughness, reduced elasticity, skin laxity and increased wrinkles of aging skin are closely related to the decrease in the number and synthetic function of fibroblasts.
