PDRN Mechanism of Action.

• PDRN is a deoxyribonucleic acid mixture derived from a controlled purification and sterilization process of salmon semen DNA (95% similarity to human DNA). This procedure ensures the absence of active proteins and peptides that may cause an immune response.
• In vitro and in vivo tests have shown that the most relevant mechanism of action of PDRN is the involvement of the adenosine A2A receptor, while PDRN provides nucleosides and nucleotides for the so-called “salvage pathway”, and that binding to the adenosine A2A receptor is a unique property of PDRN.
• In vitro and in vivo tests have shown that the mechanism of action of PDRN is the involvement of adenosine A2A receptors. PDRN efficiently and specifically activates A2A adenosine receptors on the cell surface, thus promoting the release of cytokines, generating anti-inflammatory effects and repairing damaged cells.
• The activation of the receptor leads to the proliferation of osteoblasts, fibroblasts, and adipose precursor cells, which activate age-damaged cells and make them more youthful. In addition, VEGF, angiopoietin and glutamine discretionary aminotransferase II are also released with receptor activation, improving blood circulation and accelerating cell renewal.
