Rice fermentation products are rich in polyphenols, antioxidant, polysaccharides, organic acids and other ingredients, after fermentation and purification of active ingredients content is higher, with fermentation technology without additives, natural and safe inherent advantages.

1.Promote penetration effect test

The transdermal test was conducted using an in vitro three-dimensional skin model, with 2.0% ascorbyl glucoside saline solution as blank.

Using 2.0% ascorbyl glucoside saline solution as a blank control, the transdermal absorption of ascorbyl glucoside (AA2G) was tested by 5% and 10% R3NC respectively, and the ascorbic acid content was analyzed and determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

The results showed that R3NC promoted the transdermal absorption of ascorbic acid glucoside well and showed a certain dose-dependence. It indicates that the fermentation is applied in cosmetics as a pro-osmotic agent, which has the efficacy of promoting the absorption of substances and can make the active ingredients work better.

2.Improvement of skin hydration

Asian female volunteers aged 30-58 years old participated in the study. 30 volunteers used a cream containing 40% R3NC and 30 volunteers used a blank control cream (i.e., without the ferment) twice a day in the morning and evening. Facial skin tests were performed at weeks 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8. Changes in hydration were measured with the MPA580 Skin Tester.

Skin hydration increased by 25-40% in the experimental group using the cream containing 40% R3NC, while facial skin hydration increased by 15-25% in the blank control group. This indicates that the ferment as an active ingredient applied in cosmetics has moisturizing effect and can improve the problem of dry skin.

3. Improve hair roughness, inhibit hair split ends and increase hair luster

Twenty-eight randomly selected women aged 20 I 50 years old were used as members of the test group. Milk/paste hair conditioner (containing 1% R3NC) of the test group and the comparison group was applied to the hair for several days, and after 7 days, for the ease of combing, the overall appearance of the hair, and the luster of the hair, it was evaluated in accordance with the evaluation benchmarks as follows. For combability, overall appearance of hair, and luster of hair, five grades of A, B, C, D, and E were evaluated.

A: Significantly better; B: Better; C: No change; D: Slightly worse; E: Significantly worse.

From the results in the table on the right, it can be seen that the use of this rice yeast & lactobacillus ferment ingredient in hair care maintains a good effect in improving the combability, shine and healthiness of the hair. It is also pleasing to note that the addition of this ingredient to the hair care formula showed good lathering properties to the touch, which significantly improved the feeling of use.
