Product Characteristics
Phytosphingosine, a precursor of ceramides naturally occurring in the skin, is a source of lipids for the water-locking barrier of the skin's stratum corneum, as well as a good antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent, and a natural modulator of inflammation.
Salicyloyl Phytosphingosine is a derivative prepared from the reaction of Phytosphingosine and Salicylic Acid, therefore it combines the properties and efficacy of both actives. Phytosphingosine is a precursor of ceramides, which when combined with Salicylic Acid enhances and strengthens the absorption of Ceramides, which is an important barrier for the skin, with skin lubricating, luminous and protective properties.
Salicyloyl phytosphingosine can induce the incremental expression of more than 300 genes in skin cells to induce the production of procollagen-1, enhance DEJ to promote the production of precollagen-1 in the dermal papillary layer can significantly reduce the MMP-1 interstitial metalloproteinase and reduce the degradation of collagen.
